ITINERARY (Subject to changes based on availability)

Day 1 (25 November 2024):

  • Welcome to Tokyo, Japan! Arrive at Haneda International Airport (preferred) and be greeted by our local team.

  • Hop on a comfortable transfer to our designated hotel at Garden hotel Shiunkaku Higashimatsuyama where you'll check-in and settle in.

  • Take some time to rest and recover from your journey, and get ready for an exciting badminton adventure ahead.

  • In the evening, we'll kick off our training camp from 6PM - 9PM at a Japanese Badminton Club

Day 2 (26 November 2024):

  • Rise and shine!

  • After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to the training venue at Higashimatsuyama Citizen’s Sports Facilities (東松山市民体育館) for our first day of intensive training.

  • Our qualified Japanese coaches led by Daisuke Omoto from Team NTT East (teammates include Kento Momota, Kodai Naraoka, Taichi Saito, Akira Koga and more!) will lead us through a series of drills, exercises, and practice matches to hone our skills and improve our gameplay.

  • The morning session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

  • After lunch, we'll continue our training from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM joined by other club/school coaches and juniors from the following (take note: different club/school will join us on different days):
    - Blitz Junior Badminton Club
    - Kamisato Junior Club
    - Kamisato Junior High School
    - Chiyoda Junior Club
    - Honey Sophia Junior Club
    - Tokorozawa Junior Club
    - Feel Badminton Club
    - Syatorazu Junior Club

  • We'll end the day with a quick debrief and celebrate our second day of training.

Day 3 (27 November 2024):

  • Get ready for another day of intense training!

  • After breakfast, we'll return to the training venue for the third day of our training camp.

  • We'll continue to focus on refining our techniques, improving our footwork, and enhancing our overall performance on the court.

  • The morning session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a break for lunch.

  • In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we'll have our second training session of the day joined by other club/school coaches and juniors. In the evening, you'll have some free time to explore Tokyo or rest and recover at the hotel.

  • From 27 - 29 Nov 2024, we will visit one of Japan’s Top Badminton Schools, Shukutoku Sugamo Junior & Senior High School, for an eye opening view of their training system and test your skills against their players! Some of their accolades include:

    • National Junior High School Badminton Tournament Boys Doubles Champion, 3rd Place

    • National Junior High School Badminton Tournament, Girls Doubles, 3rd Place

    • National Junior High School Badminton Tournament, Girls' Team, 3rd Place

    • All Japan Junior Badminton Championships Men's Doubles 3rd Place

Day 4 (28 November 2024):

  • Another day of intense training awaits!

  • After breakfast, we'll return to the training venue for the fourth day of our training camp.

  • We'll continue to focus on refining our techniques, improving our footwork, and enhancing our overall performance on the court.

  • The morning session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a break for lunch.

  • In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we'll have our second training session of the day joined by other club/school coaches and juniors. In the evening, you'll have some free time to explore Tokyo or rest and recover at the hotel.

Day 5 (29 November 2024):

  • It’s the last day of coach-led training!

  • After breakfast, we'll return to the training venue for the fifth day of our training camp.

  • We'll address each player’s flaws over the past few days and work on your competitive matchplay including strategies and tactics.

  • The morning session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a break for lunch.

  • In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we'll have our second training session of the day joined by other club/school coaches and juniors. In the evening, you'll have some free time to explore Tokyo or rest and recover at the hotel.

  • If time is available, we will head towards Yonex Showroom located in Shibuya before exploring downtown Tokyo.

Day 6 (30 November 2024):

  • Back to the badminton court!

  • After breakfast, we'll have friendly matches against Japanese players at the training venue from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • This will be a great opportunity to test our skills, learn from other players, and experience the local badminton scene.

  • Our coaches will provide guidance and feedback to help us further improve our gameplay.

Day 7 (1 December 2024):

  • Our badminton adventure in Tokyo continues!

  • We'll have another day of friendly matches against Japanese players at the training venue from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • This will be another chance to apply the skills and strategies we've been working on during our training camp.

  • In the evening, we'll have some free time to explore Tokyo or relax at the hotel and reflect on our progress so far.

  • In the night, we'll gather for a team dinner to celebrate our achievements and bond over our shared passion for badminton.

Day 8 (2 December 2024):

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we'll check out and bid farewell to Tokyo as we head back to the airport for our departure.

  • As we reflect on our incredible journey, we'll cherish the cherished memories, new friendships, and improved skills that we've gained during our overseas badminton camp in Tokyo, Japan.

Note: The itinerary may be subjected to change based on unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions. Transportation to and from the airport, hotel, and training venue will be provided as part of the package. Please come prepared with appropriate badminton attire, rackets, and other personal essentials for the training sessions. Optional sightseeing tours or activities can be arranged with prior notice and are subject to availability.

  • Open to all members, nationalities and across all badminton clubs.

  • It is recommended to travel with at least 1 adult and 1 child. Otherwise, there will be an indemnity form to be signed prior to the trip in order for our organisers to take full custodian of the child during the trip.

  • The Overseas Camp requires a minimum of 10 participants. A maximum of 30 participants will be upheld.

  • Photos and videos taken during the Overseas Camp may be used for marketing purposes.

  • The Overseas Camp covers all accommodation, meals (breakfast and lunch), transportation, and other activities.

  • Participants are responsible for purchasing their own flight and travel insurance for the Overseas Camp.

  • Grap Venture Pte Ltd is not liable for the safe carriage of passengers, baggage, belongings, or any unforeseen circumstances during the trip.

  • Participants are strongly recommended to obtain comprehensive travel insurance from a reputable provider that covers medical, travel, personal liability, and cancellation provisions applicable to their planned activities.

  • Grap Venture Pte Ltd will not be held accountable for any financial or personal loss or injury resulting from participants who choose not to secure such insurance.

  • Grap Venture Pte Ltd cannot be held responsible or liable for any expense, reimbursement, or refund of travel arrangement charges if any participant is refused entry by any country before departure or during the excursion and travel for whatsoever reason, including but not limited to non-possession of necessary visas.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of departure, a visa, and health requirements for the countries they intend to visit, including those they may transit through.

  • Participants must inform Grap Venture Pte Ltd immediately of any changes to their details, and failure to follow instructions or meet permit requirements is the participants’ responsibility.

  • Safety is the number one priority at Grap Venture Pte Ltd, and no refunds will be entertained.

  • Full payment must be completed by 01 Sep 2024 to reserve a slot, and reservations cannot be held, guaranteed, or confirmed until payment has been received.
